The Top-10 Bridal Trends

Welcome, all visitors! For all you brides-to-be out there, our company wanted to share with you our TOP 10 BRIDAL LOOKS for spring of 2017! We used the Fall 2017 bridal week as a guide, and found that the style shifted a little from last year to a more contemporary, minimalist look.

10. Ruffles are back! The soft, delicate swirls create a beautiful gradient look.

9. You’ve seen lace on wedding gowns, but have you seen flowers? Designers took “floral dress” and created a whole new meaning! Before, the flowers on wedding gowns were typically 3D, but now, they are 3D embellishments applied seamlessly to the fabric.

8. The 2017 year has made way for minimalists again, as well. The gown would typically be adorned with subtle details, while keeping the majority of the gown pure and simple.

7. While the mermaid style of gown has been a big hit the past several years, the ball gown has been gaining popularity recently.

6. Rising, Victorian-style necklines are a new trend as well. This is most likely because last year designers showcased deep plunge necklines—a nice switch up.

5. We are happy to announce that long (sexy) sleeves are now “all the rage” for designers. However, long sleeves are now seen more as being translucent, lacey, or shimmering.

4. One of the more interesting trends is the use of metallic. Metallic is being used in the embroidery, beading, and sequins, making these gowns particularly sparkly!

3. Mini dresses—Who would have guessed? Brides are beginning to turn more towards a mini-version of wedding gowns called tea or mid-length gowns. They cover the knee, but not the ankles, making it formal and playful at the same time.

2. Color also seems to be changing. We’ve all seen it on shows like “Say Yes to the Dress” where a soon-to-be bride finds her dream dress, and it’s not white. It now looks like that is the new fashion trend, with most brides looking at soft pastel colors.

1. Shoulders! In contrast to the long (sexy) sleeves look, another emerging bridal gown trend is bare shoulders, or “cutout” shoulder.
